After completing her studies at the Central School of Applied Arts
Helsinki 1955,
Anja Jaatinen worked at Arabia as a product designer and ceramic artist
nearly twenty years.
At Arabia she created mostly handmade decorative art ceramic objects
for Arabia Studio, but she also designed few tableware patters, for
example the pattern 'Kaira' and 'Karelia', that became very popular
especially in Finland.
In 1974-1991 Anja Jaatinen worked for another well-known Finnish
ceramic manufactory: Pentik Oy.
Anja Jaatinen participated several exhibitions in Finland and abroad,
including: Stockholm (Linjevalch), -62; Faenza -64; Musée
Cantini -65; New York -64; London (Danasco)-69; Mexico -79; Tel Aviv
-70. In 1976 she received the Finnish States Award for Graft and
Design.
